INTRO TO WILD FIBER & NATURAL CORDAGE
Participants will learn how to prepare this wild material for weaving, and make natural cordage used in a variety of basket and weaving work.
Working primarily with willow and paw paw bark, participants will learn how bark is turned into suitable working material before making a useful or sculptural basket of their own.
DIY ALTERATIONS
Join us for an open studio style alterations workshop. Learn the basic fundamentals and techniques to alter your own clothing, and leave with the skills to be able to do it for a lifetime!

Idea To Product is a presentation where new designers and entrepreneurs with big ideas meet with Sew Valley CEO, Shailah Maynard, to ask questions, and learn about sewn product development and production on a big-picture level. Over the course of the 1 hour, you will learn how the production process works within our facility, what is needed to get going, and the expenses that will incur over the course of the project.
